These Houston women own adorable online jewelry shops

One of my favorite things about living in Houston is the strong sense of community we share. The city may feel big and overwhelming to outsiders, but Houstonians know each area has a distinct vibe and cultural flair.

We know exactly where to go when we want certain types of dining, entertainment and shopping. But hidden within every Houston neighborhood is a small business we don’t know about because it only exists online.

That’s why we did a little treasure hunting inside of Etsy, a global marketplace for handmade and vintage items. We found the most adorable online jewelry shops located right here in H-Town and chatted with their rockstar owners.

About LE Jewelry Designs

Lauren Elizabeth opened her Etsy shop 10 years ago with a dream to send her designs all over the world. She’s accomplished that goal and with the help of a really cool organization called The Artisan Group, her designs have been seen on TV programs like “This Is Us” and “Law & Order: SVU.”

I asked this born and raised Houstonian what she loves most about Houston. She said, “We’ve seen our share of hurricanes/tropical storms, so I love to see that as big as we are, we can all come together as one to help one another. Houston strong.”

About Brenda Grands Jewelry

Brenda, who operates a new studio here in Houston’s Arts District, chose to become a part of the Etsy community five years ago as a first step toward growing an online business. She only uploads her studio’s best sellers and her Texas collection, a line she says is close to her heart-to her online jewelry shop.

She explained, “Texas opened the doors for a new beginning in my life.” Brenda has lived in Houston for nearly seven years and says that starting her business in this community has been “such a blessing.”

“My business is about to turn six years old and we wouldn’t be where we are now without the support of Houstonians,” she said.

All her designs are 18K to 24k gold-plated and handmade in her Houston studio.
