San Antonio students prepare for annual Fiesta Sustainable Fashion show

Students at Stevens Substantial Faculty equipment up for the yearly Fiesta Sustainable Style Display.
Penny BenavidezAs San Antonio prepares for its significant Fiesta celebration — now 10 times away — complimentary gatherings are cropping up all over the metropolis. One such party is as eco-conscious as it is stylish. The Fiesta Sustainable Manner Present will consider put on Wednesday, March 23.
In its fifth 12 months, the public party is a collaboration amongst Goodwill and college students from Stevens Superior School. Led by Northside ISD teacher Christine Donovan, the exhibit will curate more than 20 2nd-hand seems by students in the school’s Entrepreneurship and Fashion Software.
Donovan was the recipient of the 2021 Texas Trend Awards Qualified of the 12 months award, is an Agosto Cuellar award-successful sustainable fashion designer, and serves as a Goodwill Buyer Encounter Supervisor. She has guided learners to feel creatively when crafting their sustainable outfits.
In advance of the demonstrate, all taking part college students volunteered at area Goodwill retailers to find out about sustainable fashion and retail. All appears to be on the Goodwill runway will be offered to order following the show.
The showcase will start out at 6 p.m. at the Goodwill at 10422 Potranco Street.
