Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is on Barcelona’s shortlist of potential summer signings.

The Reds ace could leave the Anfield outfit this summer, with his contract at the club set to expire at the end of next season. And Barca manager Xavi reportedly wants to make Salah a key signing after the Spanish giants clinched a multi-million pound sponsorship deal with music platform Spotify.

It comes as Andy Robertson aimed a brutal relegation dig at Everton after Liverpool’s derby triumph. And Alisson embarrassed Everton counterpart Jordan Pickford after mocking him towards the end of Sunday’s 2-0 win.

Alisson mocks Pickford

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson mocked Everton counterpart Jordan Pickford towards the end of Sunday’s 2-0 win for the Reds.

But one of the biggest cheers of the afternoon came in the dying moments when Alisson claimed a ball in the Liverpool box before falling on the floor in an exaggerated fashion – in clear reference to Pickford’s antics while the scores were 0-0.

The Reds full-back turned in Mohamed Salah’s cross to set his side on their way – and consign Everton to finishing the weekend in the Premier League relegation zone. And the Scotland international made sure to remind his opponents of that fact after the game, with a cheeky post-match jibe.

When interviewed after the game by Sky Sports, Robertson told Everton: “I’ve been in a relegation battle before, so I know what it’s like.”

Barcelona plot Salah swoop

Spanish giants Barcelona are ready to make Mohamed Salah a priority signing this year after solving their financial crisis.

Barca were forced to allow Argentinian maestro Lionel Messi to lave the club last summer as they felt the pinch of a financial crisis which engulfed the club. But after securing a £236 million naming rights contract for their stadium with Spotify they appear to be back in business and ready to make waves in the summer transfer window.

That could spell bad news for Liverpool, with the Spanish outfit ready to target Salah. The Egyptian has just 14 months left on his contract at Anfield – so the club may decide to cash in on him now rather than let him leave for nothing at the end of next season.
